This one was a bittersweet session. I’ve been photographing this family for a long time but have been friends for even longer so while I was happy to take these pictures for them I certainly missed my friend in these. He was a great husband and father and it’s heartwarming to see how they continue to cherish his memory through their love and devotion to each other. I am also grateful that I was able to capture images of them all together in the past so that they can preserve those memories along with these new ones.
