The Chirunga family is special to me as they are actually part of my family. My sister-in-law, her husband, and two kids are always part of our get-togethers, so it was a pleasure to take their family photos.

I was referred by a friend to take pictures for this event. It was a fundraising event for a school and just required me to take some photos of kids and attendees with Santa. It allowed me to use my talent for a good cause.
Being a photographer, I am fortunate to be able to take my kids’ school pictures. I feel that I am able to capture more true images of who they are. During this shoot, Elaina did bunny ears on her brother, so of course, her brother had to do the same.

Not only were this family my clients, but also glad to consider them as friends. I’ve photographed their youngest son before, but that was as a baby. I didn’t realize until we started taking pictures how much of a ham he can be in front of the camera. Definitely helped to get some great shots…
